Diane Flynn, Co-Founder & CEO, ReBoot Accel

Diane Flynn is Cofounder and CEO  of ReBoot Accel, designing work cultures that support and advance women. ReBoot Accel has assisted over 2500 women interested in resuming careers after time out of the workforce. Diane also consults with Fortune 500 companies interested in hiring and retaining women. She facilitates workshops on professional presence and impact, and coaches leaders on maximizing results and personal fulfillment. ReBoot Accel has been featured on The Today Show, WSJ, Forbes, ABC News, NBC, PRI’s The TakeAway, and the HuffPost. Diane previously served as  Chief Marketing Officer of GSVlabs, a marketing executive at Electronic Arts, and an associate consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, while also spending 16 years at home raising 3 children. Diane is passionate about catalyzing women and is a lifelong learner, workshop facilitator, and executive coach. She has spoken at SXSW and conferences on Diversity, Ageism, and the Future of Work. She earned a BA in Economics from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard.

Moderator Anne McLeod’s career in health care and finance spans 34 years with nearly 10 years of service in the California Banking industry where she ultimately served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a multi-branch community bank in the sierra foothills. She followed up with 12 years as a financial executive at several hospitals and health systems in the state including rural, academic, public and private facilities.

Anne joined CHA in 2007 and immediately began working on health policy and financing issues with then Governor Schwarzenegger’s health care reform team. Anne led the design and development of the hospital fee program, a legislative landmark providing nearly $30 billion of new funding to hospitals since 2009. By making the protections for the funding permanent through the passage of Proposition 52 in 2016, the hospital fee program now provides billions of dollars of new funding every year going forward.

As Senior Vice President for Policy Innovation, Anne provides leadership for developing policy objectives that support the growth and success of hospitals and health systems as they respond to challenges they face.  She provided leadership for CHA’s Transforming for Tomorrow Task Force, which developed forward-thinking strategies and actions for hospitals to consider as they plan for the future. Anne spearheaded the only Population Health Management certification program for executives in California’s hospitals to help them become leaders in reforming and transforming health care in their communities.


Melissa Brendt has over thirty years of experience in various leadership roles within healthcare organizations; including health plans and healthcare delivery systems.

Ms. Brendt is currently the Vice President and Chief Contracting Officer for Sutter Health’s Managed Care Department. She is responsible for Sutter Health’s integrated provider network contracting with health plans and other payers which represents over $6B in annual revenue.  Ms. Brendt is also Sutter Health’s representative on the Managed Care Committee at the California Hospital Association which supports regulatory and legislative efforts related to managed care.

Ms. Brendt began her career with Sutter Health as part of Sutter Preferred /Omni Health Plan in 1992, as the Director of Provider Contracting. Ms. Brendt later joined Sutter Health’s Corporate Managed Care Contracting Department in 1997 and held a Vice President role until she was promoted to Chief Contracting Officer in 2014. Prior to joining Sutter Health, Ms. Brendt held management positions in both provider and member service roles at other health plans-including Foundation Health/Health Net.

Ann Ricks is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Enterprise Shared Services at Kaiser Permanente.In this role, she oversees National Facilities Services, Buy to Pay, End User Services and other areas of the business.In the fall of 2017, Ann’s role was expanded to include Shared Services Strategy and Consulting.She is uniquely suited to these roles, given her 38 years of progressively responsible financial management in multiple industries and functions.
Ann has been with Kaiser Permanente over 6 years.Her first role was the Chief Financial Officer for National Facilities Services.In this role, she had responsibility for the significant portfolio of construction, facilities and clinical technology projects.Within six months her role was expanded to include financial support of Enterprise Shared Services.Additional roles include Pharmacy Finance for nearly 2 years and, more recently, the Shared Services Strategy and Consulting team.She has managed large and multi-dimensional teams that have ranged from 200-240 FTEs.

Tracey Lewis Taylor has been the Chief Operating Officer of Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare in Pleasanton California since February 2017. In this role, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management for all Hospital Operations. Previously, she served as Vice President for Operations for NewYork-Presbyterian / Lawrence Hospital, managing the day-to-day operations, overseeing operating and capital budgets, and implementing clinical strategy. She also served as Director of Clinical Services at NewYork-Presbyterian, responsible for operations of the Oncology and Cardiology Service Lines. Tracey joined NewYork-Presbyterian in 2006 as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Prior to that, Tracey held roles with Tenet Health System and the healthcare consulting firms of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. In 2016 she was recognized with the “Rising Star” Award by the Westchester County (New York) Business Council as a Top 40 Under 40 influential business professional. Tracey obtained her undergraduate degree and Master’s Degree in Public Health both from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia.


Jane A. Willemsen oversees the operations of  John Muir Health’s two acute care medical centers located in Walnut Creek (554-licensed beds) and Concord (245-licensed beds), and a third facility for Behavioral Health services (73-licensed beds) also located in Concord, serving Contra Costa and Solano counties.  Combined, the three facilities have net revenues of $1.3 billion, 3,686 FTEs, and 32,620 discharges.  Her responsibilities also include overseeing strategic service lines, medical staff relations, and accountability for completion of major expansion projects at all three facilities.

Prior to joining John Muir Health in 2006 as President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Walnut Creek Medical Center, Ms. Willemsen served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California. She also worked at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago as Vice President of Nursing and Allied Health and Assistant Director of Nursing. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa, and a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Ann Bundy is an executive coach who helps leaders convert strategy into action and supports teams in creating new capabilities as they transition to new levels of excellence.  She has learned the power of deeply listening to her clients and works with them to create stronger leaders, teams, and organizations.  With over thirty years in a diverse set of business and leadership roles, she is able to fully understand the unique pressures, demands, and opportunities that current and aspiring executives face daily, and offers a safe sounding board in which to explore fresh perspectives and possibilities.

Ann’s eclectic background consists of collaborating with technology teams in Silicon Valley on their best practices and key business processes, as a senior leader in a boutique consulting firm, starting a software company during the dot-com bubble, directing the Stanford Advanced Project Management program (an innovative learning consortium of Stanford University tenured faculty as well as business subject matter experts), and fifteen years of experience in healthcare with a focus on innovation, digital health strategy implementation, and cross-discipline collaboration.  With her extensive expertise and experience as a “corporate athlete,” she is able to support individuals, teams, and organizations on their journey of change.

She is particularly adept at learning and analyzing company cultures as a tool to explore how the environment affects its leaders, processes, business results, and customer engagement.  She had worked in numerous disciplines such as engineering, innovation, IT, product development, and marketing in such industries as technology, banking, biotechnology, and healthcare.  She has also experienced firsthand the challenges of creating value in a truly global arena, having worked in over fifteen counties in Europe, South America, and Asia.  Ann has worked with leaders in companies such as Texas Instruments, IBM, Intel, Motorola, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Health, UCSF, Blue Shield of California, and Deloitte.

Ann holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Highest Honors from the University of California at Berkeley, an Integral Coaching certification from New Ventures West, and she is also a Stanford University Certified Project Manager and a PMI certified Project Management Professional.  She has attended numerous workshops and learning opportunities on a wide variety of personal and professional development topics and has published articles on some of her projects. With lifelong learning at the center of her value system, she fully appreciates the power of inquiry.

Ann lives in the San Francisco Bay with her husband and enjoys connecting with her two adult children and friends, playing competitive water polo, and enjoying the culture and natural beauty of Northern California.
