Great drive at the 7th Annual Vincent Acquisto Memorial Golf Tournament on September 16, 2018
Under sunny, Sierra skies, 32 golfers teed it up at the HFMA of Northern California’s 7th Annual Vincent Acquisto Memorial Golf Tournament. This year’s event was held in conjuncture with the chapter’s annual Fall Conference at The Resort at Squaw Creek.
The winning foursome was the twosome of Greg Labow and Jeff Woody, who scrambled home with a 7-under-par team score on the 6,010-yard course. Envision Physician Services kindly donated a sleeve of golf balls to each tournament participant, with the little white pills coming in handy on the very narrow fairways and penal , high mountain brush at The Links at Squaw Creek.
Greg Labow also captured the men’s closest to the pin on the 153-yard 6th hole. Jayne Kroner captured the ladies’ closest-to-the-pin honor on the 126-yard 14th hole.
The women’s longest drive was won by Suz Yeager on the 467-yard 4th hole. Chuck Acquisto took home the men’s longest drive on the 480-yard, lucky 13th hole.
A double-contest winner was Andrew Ray, who won the single-hole putting contest by besting all closest-to-the-hole marks by actually sinking the 60-foot putt to earn at Pro Shop gift card courtesy of contest sponsor HCFS, Inc. Ray then took home the prize for the longest Marshmallow Drive on the 2nd hole with a record blast. The Rash Curtis-sponsored Marshmallow contest also had Jayne Kroner earning her second contest win with a record women’s drive.
